STRATEGIC PLANNING: Clarity, Coherence, Cadence, Communication, Celebration, Coaching, and Collaboration

Strategic plans are expensive. They require stakeholder engagement and lots of planning. However, many strategic plans become stored documents rather than living roadmaps for improvement. EPI's team approaches strategic planning differently. We gather stakeholder data and work with your team to create a plan that becomes the living roadmap for change. The difference? We focus on implementation. We focus on the deliverables and fidelity data you need to track to ensure the plan is moving forward. Too often, schools focus solely on outcome data, but without clarity of expectations and aligned fidelity of implementation data, organizations miss the opportunity to truly understand the changes they designed. A success story begins with clear purpose and aligned goals. It requires strategic implementation and strong leadership. EPI uses our 7C commitment framework to help you design a strategic plan that will successfully guide you from good to great.

EPI facilitates a discovery process to help your team prepare for and design a data collection and analysis system for high quality, relevant, and actionable reflection. EPI's team will walk you through the strategic planning process from start to finish.

A needs assessment: EPI conducts focus groups, surveys, and a data analysis process to truly understand your current state and your stakeholders' values and interests.

The development of your strategy: EPI works with your teams to design clear goals and observable actions on a realistic timeline. We build on the work you are already doing rather than creating a new "flavor of the month." We measure what we value, and we value what we measure, so we make sure to create clear fidelity of implementation data monitoring so you can gauge to what degree the staff is engaged in your change initiatives. We include a mitigation plan that predicts the training, enthusiasm, and logistics gaps that will prevent success. We also generate clear deliverables and identify the fidelity tools you will need to monitor implementation.

Ongoing coaching and support: To ensure your strategy doesn't become a dusty document, we work with your teams monthly or quarterly to assess your data and make adjustments. We also offer critical leadership coaching to ensure your leaders have the necessary communication and leadership skills necessary for leading change.

Lisa is a creative multi-tasker whose broad and varied talents, coupled with knowledge of a wide variety of subject areas, makes her an ideal candidate for jobs and/or projects that require creativity and thorough follow-through. Likewise, Lisa was called upon -- with much of the work she did for us -- to take the input she received from board members and turn that into sound decisions on behalf of the organization. Never did I question her ability and integrity to make this happen for the good of the organization.

I enjoyed working with Dr. Riegel. The information she provided was amazing.  I can use all of it in my professional leadership.  Every topic we hit on was something I could bring back to my district and use.  Her knowledge about how people work together and what to do to get them to change behavior is amazing.

Dr. Lisa Riegel has been a phenomenal resource to me during my first year as an elementary principal.  She has provided insights on leadership that has impacted my leadership abilities. We were able to have powerful discussions on effective strategies that increases student achievement and building efficacy in the teaching staff.

My self-confidence increased due to her encouraging words and guidance through various decision making processes. Dr. Riegel assured me when I was making the right decisions. It was nice having her as a springboard to discuss best practices and other concerns.
